Yoxall Village Hall Terms & Conditions of Hire

This Village Hall is a community asset, managed by unpaid volunteers.  We rely on Hirers to play their part and keep costs down by by taking good care of the Hall facilities and leaving the Hall clean, tidy and secure.

Health & Safety

• No loud (amplified) music after 9pm.

• I shall not allow more than 100 people in Large Hall and 30 in the Small Hall.  (Seated events in the Large Hall may have 150 guests including organisers).

• I shall ensure no flammable substances, naked flames or hazardous substances are allowed on the premises.

• I shall ensure no smoking takes place in the building.

• I shall use the kitchen for any food preparation.

• I shall not admit animals into the Hall (except guide dogs or animals agreed in advance).

• I shall only use PAT tested electrical equipment in the Hall.

• I know where the fire extinguishers are sited and will not allow them to be moved except when used for fire.

• I shall supervise and ensure good behaviour.

• I shall permit members of the management committee to enter the Hall at any time.

• I agree to comply with the Fire Safety Policy.

• I agree to read and comply with the Fire Safety Checklist (also found on Notice boards).

• I agree to read and comply with the Emergency Action Plan (also found on Notice boards).

Loss & damage

• The Yoxall Village Hall Committee will not be liable for any loss or damage to vehicles, clothes, jewellery, money or other personal property belonging to users of the Hall, before, during or left in the building after the event.

• The Yoxall Village Hall Committee will not be liable for any personal injury and/or consequential loss sustained by any users of the Hall, except where directly attributable to negligence of the Hall Management.

• The hirer is responsible for any loss or damage to the equipment and Hall buildings during the period of hire no matter how it is sustained.

• Decorations and balloons must not be affixed to paintwork and Sellotape must not be used; only Blu Tak or drawing pins to wooden panels are permitted.

• Gas filled balloons released in the Large Hall vaulted ceilings will be charged at £30 each.

• No duct tape may be used anywhere the Hall.

• No Table Confetti is permitted in the Hall.

Completion

• I agree to return all equipment and items to the places from where they were obtained.

• I agree to remove all personal belongings and equipment on completion of the hire period.

• I agree to leave the Hall clean and tidy for other users and vacate the building at the agreed time.

• I agree to report any damage to the building inside or out to the bookings secretary.

• I agree to secure the building and return Hall keys to the designated place.
